The Asia Pacific Association for Fiduciary Studies (APAFS) is a non-profit educational and charitable
association. APAFS was founded for and by, representatives from public and private institutional funds
from around the Asia Pacific Region.
GOAL
The goal of APAFS is to raise the level of understanding and standards of practice among fiduciaries
in the region, so that they may provide the most prudent stewardship of the funds entrusted to their care.
OBJECTIVES
In order to meet this goal, APAFS has embraced the following objectives:
A. To provide an annual conference designed to be attended by members from all jurisdictions.
The multi-day conference will be designed to provide educational sessions on topics relative to investment
of institutional funds and other topics relevant to fiduciaries of institutional funds. It will serve as a venue
for its members to share ideas and experiences and to build relationships.
B. To offer; to coordinate; and, to provide speakers for, topic specific mini-conferences as requested by
institutional members. These mini-conferences would be held in the requesting members jurisdiction.
Conference topics would be relative to investment of institutional fund and other topics relevant to
fiduciaries of institutional funds.
C. To host a website for use by all members. The APAFS web site will be used as an educational tool and
resource to disperse information to its members. The website will be updated to provide postings of
articles and news that are relevant to institutional members.
D. To offer; to coordinate; and, to provide speakers for, topic specific mini-conferences as requested by
institutional members. These mini-conferences would be held in the requesting members jurisdiction.
